# Difference between a library and framework

So today i am going to be talking about the difference between a Library and a Framework. A library and a framework both have one thing in common which is they are both **Programs written by someone** but what really differentiates the two of them is a term called **INVERSION OF CONTROL**

What i mean here is that with a library, you have the control to call it whenever you need it in your code while with a framework, it's the framework that calls your code meaning that there are specific things you must put in place in order for the framework to perform it's function. A good example we could use is Jquery(library) and Vue(framework). You can call Jquery in any place of your code when you need it but with Vue, there are certain strict rules you have to follow in order to use and if you don't follow some of those rules, then you will surely not get what you expect to see (possibly maybe even get an error)

I hope this was helpful, Thanks for reading!.
